Fuel Pump Driver Module

More than likely this is a relay. But I need to know where it is on the CREMPF.

I replaced the fuel pump due to low pressure. But I might have replaced the wrong part. The pressures were good for a week. But now I'm getting low pressures again. That means a bad ground or a relay.

There is only two components in the fuel pump electrical diagram. The Inertia Fuel shut off switch in the trunk and the fuel pump driver module. Could the module be under the hood in the distribution box?

Does anybody know?

I personally have no idea, but I was curious, and found this post over at the other site:

According to the post, on first gens the FPDM is part of the VLCM. On second gens it's a separate module in the passenger side of the trunk.

It's in the trunk, bolted to the back of the seat. also the inertia switch is on the drivers b pillar.

The pressure at key on, motor off starts at 20psi then jumps to 40psi. After it starts. It rattles around and then settles on 35 -- the lower published limit.

The problem is the starting -- sometime it takes a long time to run. The pressure is real low during this time.

The old pump had run pressures below 25!
