Repaired LSC housing using UV glue. Drilled, and tapped 6/32 tread. Stuff is amazing once you learn how to use it. I drilled and tapped it 15 min after I put it on.

UV epoxies are super tough. Used allot in electronics manufacturing.

I read that the uv glue/plastic they sell on tv, is a takeoff of the stuff dentist use. I've fixed stuff with it, that would have been scrapped.

I wondered if that stuff worked, it looks like it does.

Blue point (snap on ) solder gun fell and broke in 8 pieces. Snap on sent me 2 new housings, wrong ones, no longer made. Made out of bakelite, and never found any way to glue that stuff. All fixed.

That's a good lookin' tool. Too bad you couldn't find a new enclosure for it, but I'd call that good enough.

Old School, fix it, don't replace it. This uv glue allowed me to do that, or a lot of electrical tape.

Well one worry gone I repaired some LSC housings with the uv glue, and worried how it would do after I heated the housings in the oven. It stayed as it was. About 225 degrees.
