Heated seat question.. Are all 97/98 Mark's wired for heated seats?

I'm building a new daily driver for myself currently. I have two 1998 Mark VIII LSC's, one is totalled and the other needs some mechanical work. I'm making one good car out of the pair. The accident damaged car has heated seats, the car I'm saving does not. Does anyone know if all 1997/98 Mark series are wired for heated seats? If it is a simple plug and play swap I'll do it. Anyone have experience with this situation?

I believe that you would need a few extra things from the totaled mark to get it to work like buttons and such. Although if it were me i would take the skins off and put on a new heating pad considering the cars are nearly 20 years old and its bound to wear out.

I had a nice setup with this in my crown vic with the buttons on the sides of the trunk button (it was in the center of the dash) and they heated up pretty fast. For the mark i would just put in place of where the buttons would normally be. Wiring is simple just one wire from the seats to the button and then to the power source which i just used a fuse tap for.

There is no prewired heated seat harness. So you have to add wires. It's not an overly complicated system though.
You'd need the control panel with pigtails, power and ground supply to it, and then 4 or 5 wires (been a while) per side to the seat.
It's easy to do with the center console and seats removed.

The stock setup has the temp sensors built into the pads, so in order to keep the temp control with aftermarket pads, it's best to keep the original pads in place, and lay the new elements over them.
