Well, on my way to work today my Mark hit 50K. I'm kinda sad because I want to keep the miles really low but its my daily driver so its to be expected. So does life get better after 50K?

I'm in your boat too. I just turned 50K this past weekend. It was a rather sad event. My heart sank a little when the odometer went 49,999, and then the bottom dropped out entirely when I saw it flip to 50,000.

To commemerate the event, I did a nice burnout, and banged 2nd gear.

I think life starts at 50K. Now I need to call Geno and Dennis, it's chip / maf / exhaust / gears / hids / time!

I just scored 100K. Relax, with this forum you can keep your repair costs down, and these cars are known with care and maintenance to go 200K miles. You're only 25% gone!

Mine has 63,xxx miles on it. Bought it last Sept. with 51k on the clock, so I'm putting the miles on really quickly. I was cheering when I rolled past 60k (I always do that when I turn over a big number). Still going strong :)

Look at it this way... your car only has 12,500... each wheel!

no its more like 50k per wheel adding up to 200k lol !
And btw treat your car at 50k and put the directionals on the right way :p!

I just did the 45,000 mile oil change. Then the next day I drove 130 miles... I have put over 8,000 miles on my car in under 5 months. Im glad schools out, It cuts my daily commute from 80 miles to about 40. Much nicer, and im suree my Mark likes it better too!!

I had a good laugh over that one…

Man if that was one of our company cars with 750,000 miles on it... It would only have had new plugs put in it three times since it was new...

You wouldn't believe how poor the maintenance is... it's amazing the two 2000 sedans were still running at 250K with the original plugs...

Let's put it this way.....My Mark VIII took hitting "50" a lot better than when I hit "50". I just hope when I hit "80", my body takes it as well as my Mark VIII die when it hit "80" :).
