how much dampening?

How much dynamat/raamat/etc are people putting in their car? I'd like to get it right the first time, so that I don't have to pull everything apart to add more. I (will) have two 12" subs. Suggestions?

You can never have enough, our cars rattle like crazy. I'd say at least two layers of the thicker kind (dynamat extreme, or raamat60) all over the car. The truk area you might want to add a third layer. And the trunlid will need a lot of help. Concrete would work well (don't laugh, all the pros use it, and I think ponyfreak did on his pearl mark)

i unloaded 2 rolls of raammat60 on my mark. when the bass hits, the only thing rattling besides the rearview mirror is the change in the ash-tray.

so yeah, this is pretty serious huh? How does the thinkness of that stuff affect the re-assembly of the car, all of the panels etc? Wouldnt they have trouble fitting with an extra half an inch of matting under them??
