Going to have to change the oil soon for the first time in my newly acquired '06 LTC.

What kind/brand of oil do you use in your late generation cars?

Also, I would imagine it would be necessary to hit the "reset" button on the oil life reading afterward?

Many use mobile1. It is still the best synthetic. But really, any full synthetic is good. Just stick to the weight rating in your manual.

Keep in mind you do not have to use synthetic, but it is more durable. If you are planning to keep the car a long time a full synthetic is a better choice.

Ahem... "newly acquired '06 LTC??"

Do tell, do tell...

:)
The steering on my '99 Executive was just too sloppy and I had a bad feeling about the air suspension. I had been shopping for an '06 which seems to be one of the most trouble free years of the last generation TC. I found a 25th Anniversary car, Silver Birch, with 70k miles and snagged it just before the dealer sent the car to auction. I love this car. Pics to come.

Thanks for the oil suggestions. I have used Mobil1 in my Vette and will likely use the same in the TC.
