So my tires are leaking air after the maybe 5th trip to the tireshop. At this point im looking for something to replace these (I like my octistars but i dont wanna put them through winter) what rims from other cars will bolt directly on?

Most places don't clean the rims before mounting the tires. I had a lot of tire work (my tires) mounting, and balance, and these guys did a proper, and good job. Lots of used MK VIII wheels, always for sale. Jag, and Volvo fit I think. MK's are 108 X 5, and 39 mm positive offset. Bruce up in NH should have many to choose from.

I still have the set of "snowflake" originals from my 97 that are in pretty good shape yet. They'd need tires, though.. and I forget how close you are to MN..

For winter use, I'd slap 4 snow tires on them and go in the snow. I put 4 Blizzaks on the wifes 95, and can't believe how it handles, and goes in the snow, and quiet on dry roads. New snow tires are made a lot different than they used to be. Go on line to Tire Rack, and read about them. I think they were about $100 each. Seeing how we only use them a few months of the year, it seems to be a good deal. Car handles as good as my 4X4.

Don't forget, the Mustang uses a different bolt pattern from the mark.

Unless you've already done a hub swap, those wheels won't fit.

16" taurus wheels through about 07.
offset is 42 instead of 39, not enough to matter.
usually 6" or 6.5" wide instead of 7" though.
