New--Mark VIII Headers

Legend1

Vendor
Hello everyone...I have a new project under way and need everyones help to push it forward. I have a well known header manufacturer who is going to work with us on headers for the Mark VIII. We need to decide what type everyone could agree on and then we have that style made. The most power will come from long tubes but we can make 3/4 or shorties. To give you an idea of cost we can have long tubes made for just under $700.00 for a full set. I would recommend the long tubes because they are the best bang for the buck. So here is what we need to move forward:
* What type header do we want shortie, 3/4, or Long Tube.
* 10-15 people interested in a group sale
Once I know what everyone wants I can get a rock solid price. Everyone will be pleased at the price though. There will now be choices in headers for the Mark VIII.
Thanks....John

John, Long tubes in stainless would be my vote. They would go perfect with the rest of my exhaust. Unfortunately, I would probably not be ready to buy them until the kooks I have now develop a leak.

I think everyone would be on board for long tubes. It be awesome if they were close to the price of Mustang headers, but we all know there is not nearly enough demand or volume to get the price down.

If the price was reasonable, I'd probably be in for a set of LTs.

i would go for a mid length header.
as shorty's cut torque and with the gearing we have. any loss of torque would be adverse…
long tubes would be best, but overall would be a real pain for removal of the starter and assess to the oil filter..

Properly designed long tube headers present neither of these problems. If anything, starter removal is actually easier. Oil filter is located forward of the exhaust ports, so that's a non issue.
