Hi all... previous owner of 93, 94,(2) 97 t/c execs.. over 12 years although had the 97 for 8 of those 210k.. currently have 06 passat 2.o turbo..boo boo !! lol, great car fun but not a town car. will be looking into getting one again maybe next year, thats why i joined here.. will be looking for a 96 /97 although i never had a 96, is there much diff from the 97 trim wise? i liked my 94 alot few extra horses and the seats were so comfortable with the padding better than my 97 which was nice but different, like the 93 with chrome trim and chrome mirrors, thanks. ps traded the 97 as i believe it needed a cat, drivers door hinge, heater core, but engine was strong and NEVER left me stranded, actually only got stranded once threw the sepentine belt but had a spare in the trunk np .. back on the road again..

It sounds like you have excellent taste in your Town Cars. I've had both an '86, and a '99, but (regrettably) skipped the whole generation you are searching within. I can't think of too much that should be different between '96 and '97, although in my own research I seem to recall seeing more '97 "special edition" variants. I suppose due to it being the last year of the body style..

With you being in Florida, I would suspect you have no shortage of very good choices from which to select. I'm looking forward to seeing what you find!
