New Type of Spam

I have been a lot of spam that contains just plain text of random words. There is no attachments, nor do they appear to be selling anything. Anyone know the purpose of this spam?

An example of this is below:

bum behalf, athlete camaraderie collet, accusatory copyright. dice crone bawdy bunch
cannery comrade diffract. asynchrony denudation contract brute crest demonic cyclone constitute
arise coffeecup bing apprentice. andersen barnhard centerline corny compline accretion berserk​

I see it all the time at work. Gets through my filters. Delete and move on for me.

are you sure there is no original attachment? Many email systems suppress attachments that appear suspect. Also they may have an image included, even a 1 pixel image, so they can track if the message was read. If it is read, then they know that is a good email address. all that random text is designed to trick spam filters. I have seen these with images attached (full of only text) that offer stock tips (trying to pump&dump I assume).

There is no image or other file attached as far as I can tell.

I too have seen those. No attachment or anything, except for the random text. Maybe they (whoever it is) are just practicing! For what?? Ya got me!

Some of the new spam attach a PDF file. You ISP may be removing any attachments.

I have seen those with tiny PDF files, less than 25kb, but these have no attachments whatsoever. I now have not received any in the last few weeks.
