Please help I have tried contact cleaner in the flasher button. All the fuses are good. Put new bulbs in the back. They looked like they got hot. Any suggestions would be great.

That switch is usually the problem with those symptoms. Maybe you could try swapping the switch out with one from a junkyard?

He's talking about the switch located at the top of the brake pedal..... called the BOO (brake on/off) switch.

Ok I have replaced the flasher, all the rear bulbs. Another relay that I originally thought was the flasher behind the fuse box. Looked and smells bad. Checked the wire loop for the trunk lid. Nothing happens when the head lights are off. When they are on the bright corner lights come on to light up the other lane. No signals inside or outside of my car. And no brake lights. Will the brake on/off switch cause all of this?

I personally would be more suspicious of the hazard switch (and supporting electronics) in this case. I've definitely seen dirty switches do odd things with the car. I can't rule out Bud's idea of the pedal switch though, only because he owned one of these cars a heck of a lot longer than I have. It's well known that Bud has knowledge that I do not. Some of it even pertains to these cars.. :D

Still, if you say a part "smells bad," That's a smell worth pursuing, in my opinion.

Your username implies that yours is a '95, so you don't have a neon ballast like the 97-98 car owners have to think about.. That's a good thing, in this case.
