I'm sure one of the vendors on the board will have a chip that will help out for your application. Try Dennis, fordchip.com, or LMS.

Other mods will be harder to come by considering your car is FWD. It might be tough getting a, uh, final drive gear, i guess (it's not really a "rear-end gear"...) or a limited slip differential. If you want headers you'll have to go totally custom. I don't know if you could fit a supercharger in there. It'll be tough to get many mods for a continental.

BTW, welcome to the board. That's a sharp looking continental you have there.

Nice car Smokey. I have the same :D except mines silver. Anyways, I don't know of many mods that'll work with yours. Adding too much power may crush the tranny which may be part of the reason why the Conti was detuned so much. I do that you can use a superchip tuner, k&n air filter and better exhaust. I'm in the process of asking my dealer about how much power our tranny can handle. You should check out http://www.cardomain.com/id/thedoobster. It's a sweet ride with some performance mods. Hi I have the lincoln that you have link,its a 2001 it has superchip[miro tunner]K&N,turbos out the back,17inch wheels, all black out. The miro tunner helped out alot we could feel a big inprovment,all though the RPMs. And the turbos sound great. We beat a 2001+ mustang GT vert on the highway 60-120 MPH i bet he was supprised, we used to have a 1993 MARK Viii we liked it alot our conti feels pretty close performance wize to the mark!

Hey buddy how's it going? Good to see you on here. Please feel free to post often as Conti owners here are quite scarce. Was the stang you beat a GT? If so that's sweet. That would mean I could probably beat my brother's 96 stang GT. Performance could be close to a mark but probably not even. Your car is so awesome by the way. Welcome aboard!

The mustang was a GT, we also race a 1997-98 mark LSC doin about 50 it was relly close the mark was cream color.we race and beat a olds aurora,new monie ss,77 vette,new couger,v8 t-bird,1990 trans am i couldn't beleave i beat him, and many more. The superchip helpet the shifting alot we can bark 1-2. we did get beat by a 1987 trans am with mod,455!

My goodness! I'm surprised you were able to beat all those. Guess I underestimated my own car! I'm glad that our car has the potential. It just has to be unleashed using basic simple mods. That's awesome. Thanks for posting. Like I said before, be sure to post often as we could use more Conti owners here. I beat an Acura 3.5RL just last night. Didn't stand a chance from the launch. I was travling down the highway when bam a car flys by me than slows down under the speed limit and he keeps slowing down i go to pass when he floors it.I do the same and i pass him and kept going tell i reach about 115 or so than i slowed down. I beat him by about 10 or so carlangths. IT WAS a dodge intrepid R/T. How fast or how slow are those?

Nice kill. Intrepid R/T's are not cool in stock form and I doubt they're embraced by the aftermarket sector. Here's what I found out about em.

Engine: 3.5L high output Magnum V6
Peak Horsepower: 242 hp@6400rpm
Peak Torque: 248 ft-lb@3950rpm
Redline: 6500rpm
*Manumatic transmission
*Manumatic transmission is two transmissions in one. I can choose between a 4-speed automatic, or I can switch into a formula one style (clutchless) 4-speed manual. I can switch between the two

Nothing spectacular. I'm assuming those numbers are not at the wheels. It's no surprise you'll pulled 10 car lengths ;) Keep the kills coming!
