Removal of secondary air-injection system

When this system is removed for the install of headers on my 96, will it throw any codes? I see a wire harness going to it and am wondering if I have to bridge this or just disconnect?

Thanks in advance!

It will throw a code if you unplug the pump. When i did my headers i unplugged it and got a code, so i plugged it back in (without hooking it up) and the code went away. If it's plugged in, though, you'll hear the pump (which is much louder than when it's hooked to the exhaust) whenever you start the car cold.

I only removed the stainless steel lines. I left the rest, never got an air injectio code. I did, however, get an EGR code when I didnt hook that back up.

On my '97, it's behind the front bumper cover on the driver's side. Probably accessible from inside the wheel-well, if you remove the fender liner. (and wheel) I'd guess yours is in the same location?
