So after searching high and low, I finally found a replacement shift knob for my 02 LS. Now I'm faced with another problem. How do I replace it? From my understanding, its a quick and easy job that should only take about 10 minutes. If someone could please send me some simple instructions or tell me where I can locate some, I would really appreciate it. Thanks

If you've got an automatic, use a small screwdriver to pop the plastic ring free of the bottom of the knob. It will slide down and expose two small screws holding the knob to the shaft. Remove them and lift the knob off.
If it's a V6 with manual transmission, just spin the knob off!
If it's a V6 with manual transmission, just spin the knob off!
That wont work. Been trying for an hour and can barely twist it a quarter turn.
