Hello all. Long time Ford lover and Mustang owner. Always liked the Mark viii. Currently looking for 97-98 LSC. Plans are a fair weather cruiser that I will take to the strip. For starters looking for j mod, 3600-3800 stall, 4.10s, tune. Would be pleased with 13 sec passes at first. Long term engine upgrade (c heads, cams or coyote or termi swap). Would be interested on info ( I will also search!) decently priced good torque convertor, suspension upgrades (especially for IRS bracing and durability). I am lusting after the termi front bumper from Temple.

Welcome Dale! :)

Good luck with your search. As far as torque converters, I can vouch for Circle D and Precision Industries. SuperCoupe Performance is a good source for some suspension and bracing.

Thanks for the info. I ran a Circle D 4c(3800 stall) in my 11 Mustang GT. Very quality piece. Very expensive quality piece lol.

firestang, do you know Jesse Talmage by some chance? He is from Sardinia Ohio and has a Gen1 he is putting back together.

Yes Jesse went to high school with my son and we hang out from to time. He has me on a lead to look at a 98 LSC when I get back in town from work.

I spent 9 years working in Dayton and living in Huber Heights.

My dads best friend has 3 sons, the oldest is married to a girl from Winchester! So, it really is a small world! :)

Well I pick up my car tomorrow. It's a pearl white 98 LSC with grey interior. 156k I will be third owner. Original owner and 146k owner was a Ford tech. Car has adj qa1 coil over, mustang hub Cobra brakes on all 4, 3rd cat removed magnaflow exhaust, aftermarket sways (not installed yet), 18" 05 ft chrome wheels staggered. Will post pics later.

Sounds like a great car to start with! I was thinking about doing the QA1 out back as well, would love to hear how it rides/launches.
