Struts are In, BUT...

HOTLNC

LOD Officer
The struts are in. What a pain. The first time I did it, it was much easier. This second time I could not get the knuckle to swallow the end of the strut. So after beating my arm num, I took the Knuckle bolt and two thick washers. Using the washers to block the oversized hole (where the bolt was supposed to be inserted) I installed the bolt opposite to where it is suppose to go. Then I cranked down on the bolt with a 1/2 impact wrench. With the washer's preventing the bolt from going into the opposite hole, I was able to spread the knuckle far enough. The strut end fell right in.

During my attack, I must have cracked an air line. The car will not pump up -- it is totally slammed. I'll see if I can find the crack tonight, when I’m sure I should be able to feel my arms again...
