Sub And Amp Addition

How difficult is it to add a sub and amp to the factory JBL system?

I will complete the system later, I just want to add some thump for right now.

Amp: JBL 1200.1
Sub: Xtant X1244

if the amp has high level inputs, you can tap right off of the rear speakers. the less you care about seeing wires at this point the easier it gets too. Done decently, probably about a 2 hour job. Removing the rear seat would probably make it easier to get at the speakers and for pulling those rear panels to get to the rear speaks.

If the amp doesnt have high level inputs, I dont know, you'd probably have to wait until you did the rest of the system.

In theory you should also be able to tap the inputs to the Amp there in the trunk and get RCA level input, I think. I tried it a while back and couldn't make it work, but I didn't try very hard.

Further theory, you ought to be able to get the high level input out of the amp that goes back to the rear speakers and save taking the interior apart, but I didn't try that....

Anyone ever done either of those successfully?
