The Carlisle Curse

I seem to get this every few years. I've been working on my black car and ignoring the green car. I finally get around to putting the 20 spokes on it and now, one of the tires seems to have a bad belt. I already positioned a tire that had radial pull on the rear of the car. I took them back off today and put them in the black car to take them to work. I'll drop them off at lunch and get 4 new ones put on.

Then I noticed that the right front caliper was dragging. I managed to get the piston pressed back in, I'll have to check if it's ok when I get the new tires on.

Then, the 10 disc CD changer decided to quit. Normally not a big deal, as I have a spare in my black car, but I might be lending the black car to a friend for the weekend.

So now, I'm not only looking for a 93-94 JBL head unit, I'm looking for a CD changer as well. If anyone has one, and wants to bring it to Carlisle, let's make a deal.:)

I'm having a tough time prioritizing the importance of those problems.. Normally, I wouldn't consider the CD player as essential, but for a 1000 mile road trip, it would be missed.. :D

Good luck in getting everything ready!

My own Mark is in the shop getting the front end aligned right now.. After that, she should be ready to roll. Fingers crossed.

I stopped using my trunk CD player a long time ago. Got one of those cassette input adapters to play music from an ipod, phone, etc.

I don't know about that Steve, squeezing an already compressed MP3 signal through a cassette adaptor kind of goes against my grain. :)

I have tried actually playing a cassette a few years ago and was surprised how good it sounded. I made my own carefully recorded mix tapes years ago, so that can be an option if needed. I'm still not sure if I'll be lending the black car out, but lending the 97 instead is an option as well.

I put the new caliper and tires on and the CD changer from the black car, so mechanically the car is ready to go now. :)

Mike replaced my stereo system (I do miss my cassettes), so I don't use the CD changer that I put in the car just before Carlisle one year (cause the other one went poof. So I'm assuming if you want that one, it's not used anymore. It's still mounted and all, though.

I have a head unit with a CD player in it. I'll bring it, is that what you're looking for?
