Things I Miss About My Town Car

Four months after I traded my '06 Anniversary Town Car for the MKt, there are some things I miss about my former ride.

1. V8 Power. Quiet low end torque.
2. Interior. The MKt interior is quite nice, but the back seat of the Town Car is a true oasis of luxury.
3. Aft visibility. Thank goodness for the rear view camera in reverse in the MKt. On the road, I can only see through the back light the roofs of cars behind me at stop lights. The blind spot mirrors are nice though.
4. Wide Track. The MKt is skinny compared to the TC and, it feels more confined.
5. Locking fuel filler door. Why did Lincoln decide to go with a push to open door with NO gas cap?

To be honest, no regrets given AWD this winter but I have fond memories of my Town Cars. I only wish Lincoln had breathed new life into the model.

I've been toying with the idea of selling mine but everytime I drive it I fall more in love it.

I had a loaner MKX while the Navigator was in the shop last weekend.

Comparison to the Navigator was pointless but I can understand you missing the Town Car after driving the MKX. Your points are pretty spot on with the MKT except the MKX we had did not have a backup camera (but rear visibility seemed OK).

The MKX wasn't necessarily "skinny" but certainly not comparable to the Town Car when it came to interior room.

While it did not have the ecoboost, the MKX seemed adequately powered for its size.

The interior was nice but the dogs didn't seem to care for the rear folding seats when they were put in the back as they prefer to stretch out on the floor of the Navigator. LOL

The MKX was nice but we plan to keep our Town Car for a long time.
