Town Car Models

Diecast models of the Lincoln Town Car have usually been limited to stretch limos and early generation cars but I've finally found a nice rendering of the last generation TC. They are available in black, white and silver and come with a base that reads "2011 Town Car." They cost about $50, including shipping.

I decided to pick up a silver copy as it looks just like my newer '06 Sig (sans the sunroof). Hope to receive it by Friday.

Check 'em out by searching eBay diecast.

I received my model today and am happy to say it's a quality piece. The silver birch paint is correct. Detail includes hood ornament, steering wheel wood, wood trim on interior doors/dash, logo on seat backs, seat belt buckles, door key pad, logo on wheels, windshield wipers and reflective mirror surfaces.

Model comes in a nice plastic display box.

Look for the model on eBay. Prices are higher if you buy direct.

I love my die cast collection. Your right in that they are most always made as limos. I have a 1/18th scale 1994 replica of President Reagan's black Towncar limo, and 1/24th of JFK's, a 1/24th Franklin Mint 1963 Continental, excellent detail. I recently picked up the 1/18th 1958 Blue, Continental Mark III. I also always wanted either a Colony Park, or Country Squire from the mid 70's but could never find either. But Franklin Mint did a limited edditon of the 1962 Country Squire, in 1/24th. It's green with the wood on the side panels, very cool. If you see any others, post if you can. Seems like they are getting harder to find in local shops, and the ones that are around have sky rocketed in price.
