Transmission Crossmember Bushings

I purchased a set of bushings from Super coupe and I am having a heck of a time removing the old bushings. If anyone has a good way of removing them please leave some input.

only way is to burn them out and then wire brush the crap out of hole. Use a torch to really heat up the bushing. Once it starts flaming it will keep burning. You might have to light it a few times. Plus, poke at it with a screw driver. The charred bushing may fall off in pieces. I have done this and it worked.

it will not push out with a press.

Beerdog's way is the right way. (for once. :D)

I've used that method too, albeit on the rear shock mounts.

I got it from someone else. Forget who. I did it when I installed energy suspension bushings in the trans mount. As Tixer said, some people burn out the bushings from the stock shock mounts and replace them with some type of aftermarket bushing.
