Tread Wear, again

So two set of tires ago I had some Falkens, they failed prematurely, but I researched and that was a known thing w those. So I got some 60k BFGoodrichs. Today, a mere 25k miles later they are down to 3/32 evenly worn. I get them balanced and rotated regularly and aligned (or they wont pro rate). Soo what's the deal? Could it be something with when it lowers on the highway? i do at least 64 mi a day for work, most of which is on the interstate.
thanks!

my white one is the same way. worse a set of bfg t/a's from 7/32 to 3/32 in 13k miles. and the rear goodyears from 6/32 to 2/32 in 10k

evenly worn
If they are evenly worn there isn't a problem.

On my cars, I dont rotate.
I put new tires on the front and move the front to the back.

take the following with a grain of internet salt.
Tire rotation in my opinion increases tire wear and decreases tire life overall.
It plays right into the hands of the tire manufacturers and the tire shops, especially those that force you to rotate your tires to maintain a "warranty".

a right front tire will wear differently than a left rear, and applies for the opposing corners.
If you move a tire from the right front to the left rear you in effect double the wear on the tire by exposing it to two different types of wear.

yes it wears down evenly but as you see from your mileage/wear numbers the life of the tires isn't very long.

When I buy tires I buy two new and put them on the front and move the old fronts to the rear. Of course I wear out rear tires faster than the fronts, so the rear tire wear is what signals me to buy new tires.

In years that I raced I got 50K out of a set of rear tires and when it was time to buy tires I only had to buy 2 rather than 4.

How many miles do you get out of a set of 4?

Try a set of Cooper Zeon ZPT's in 245/50/16
They are a good compromise between mileage and performance.

Pay little attention to the "Advertised Mileage" rating of a tire that is kind of meaningless hype.

Pay lots of attention to the treadwear rating of a tire.
The higher the treadwear rating of the tire the longer the life/harder the tire rubber compound is.
the lower the treadwear rating is the shorter the life/softer the rubber compound/increased grip.

In a heavy car like the mark 8, running a BF goodrich tire, you can easily cut the "advertised mileage rating" in half.

No, nothing special. Most people accelerate faster than I at lights, and due to my noisy as hell kvr rotors, I'm very easy on the brakes.

I agree with Tommy on this subject as well. On the vehicles I drive in winter I do winter tires and they are always marked and go back to where they came from so as to not increase tire wear. This comes from my tire shop as he hates when people come in for a rotation and he does his best to talk them out of it.

Cali, did you get any alignment specs on your car when they aligned it? If you did, can you post them up somehow? I had my car aligned once, and they aligned it to a CONTINENTAL. The steering wheel was dead center, but the specs were WAY off.

I have GoodYears on mine, I bought it with them and they were new at the time. Good For One Year is what they are. They hydroplane and they have flat spots in them from it being stored for the winter. I did move the car a few times but it did not help these tires.
They are just junk as far as I am concerned and they are gone this year for driving on. I will use them every winter to store on them and that is it.

I will post the alignment specs next time I get one done. I really hope there not doing it like that.

It is also important to verify the car is at 'parked height' (lowered) when the alignment is done.
