"X" Pipe Size???

[97BLK LSC]

If I leave my OEM pipes (97 LSC) and only replace the third Cat/Res with an X pipe......What size Inlet/Outlet do I want to buy??

2.25" or 2.5" ???

Any help would be great.....

There are a couple ways you could do it.You could go with the 2.5 and slip it over the existing pipe, or you could go 2.25 and butt them up.
