XP Blurry Text Question

We were just "upgraded" to XP at work, but when I change my resolution to 800 x 600 (I'm old and need glasses), the text ends up being blurry. I did reset a bunch of things to MS Sans Serif, which helped, but I don't really like that font, and still other things are blurry (lotus notes, internet stuff, etc.)

Any suggestions?

Sharon: Right-click an empty space on your desktop, click "Properties", go to the "Appearance" tab, click on "Effects" and play with the settings for "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts".

The ClearType effect sometimes makes text appear blurry in lower resolutions, so that might be your problem.

If that doesn't work check to see if you video driver is up to date and also check to see if you can raise your refresh rate.

Also see if your CRT has a moire adjustment. Also try running it in 1024x786 and increases the font size, or the best thing to do is get glasses.
