well after many nights thinking about investing money into it we picked up a 98 lsc spring feature. its being delivered to my shop tomorrow afternoon. its not crashed its a running driving car. it does need work though. but unless its really bad in person this one is gonna be fixed by me and sold whole. anyone interested in the rarest of the marks????? get in line, because the more i do to it, the more the price goes up lol. maybe i'll make some of you guys happy by actually not parting this out. and dont take this the wrong way, if it is in bad shape, i will part it. i have only seen pics and it does need some love, but if it will bring the kind of money it should, then i dont mind fixing this baby up. i'll have some pics tomorrow when i get it to my shop.

It's an LSC too? I think that makes it even rarer!

My neighbor has a base Spring Feature. I think the LSC would look much better though. Can't wait to see the photos.

You have too fix it up now, please.:D

I saw one a long time ago, but never got the nerve to ring the doorbell of the guy who had it in his driveway.

i'll post pics tonight after i get back from my parents house, we're going for a late night swim hee hee.
the car is for sale also i'll be back later.

thats right, i got one of these rare marks and im entertaining offers. first off i am going to be blunt, this car is in rough shape but to the right person, well worth restoring it. it does run and drive. the motor has a skip in it and i think its just a bad coil pack. i am going to do some work to the car to find out what it is and try and fix it. i will describe the car the best i can. accourding to carfax this car was a rebuilt flood car in 1999. the hood, front bumper and header panel were repainted and it looks horrible, like a marble tile. passenger door has two good size dings, paint did not crack, passenger hid is burnt out, cupholder is broken, stereo works but the display is screwed up, passenger seat track doesnt work, driver door handle is broken but there is a good one in the car, needs to be painted, the chrome 10 spokes are peeling, tires are crap, the neon works perfecct, all the power options inside work perfect, has heated seats but i didnt test them yet, moon roof works, power windows work, it has prairie tan interior and it needs a cleaning. air ride all works fine. this car was driven everyday since it was rebuilt but obviously neglected. if anyone shows interest in buying this car whole off me i will detail the car as good as i can including shampooing the rugs and cleaning the interior from top to bottom. it wouldnt clean up too bad, but if no one shows interest this car rare or not is joining the rest of them. its too rough for me to invest my time or money into, because as rare as it is, it doesnt do anything for me, but to the right person, this car may mean alot. so i am not putting a price on this, i know what i paid, and i know what its worth in parts, so if someone comes up with an offer somewhere in the middle of that, i'll let this one go, it does have a clear florida title. please email me with questions and seriously i dont want any jokers offering me pennies for it, if you truely are not interested please dont respond. this is the only mark VIII i'll ever offer whole, so take advantage to own this rare spring feature lsc.

That reminds me of that random Copper color the 98 Cobras came in.....super cool looking! The crappy paint job on the hood looks kinda cool, haha.

Hey everyone,
I'm the guy that sold Jamie the spring feature car. I bought it with the intentions of restoring it for myself but other cars and priorities came about so i decided to sell it instead of just letting it sit indefinitely. Jamie described its condition very accurately in his description. The car is a bit of a project but is VERY do-able. I kinda hated to part with such a rare find but hopefully someone with the time and money to put into it will give it the restoration it deserves. Good luck.
Roy.

Thanks for posting those Pics Jamie. Wow it is pretty rough, and would need a really good amount of $ to fix right. Paint is always very expensive to deal with, if it wasn't for that and the "flood damage" this car would be pretty damn nice.

its not looking to promising for the car. out of 3 boards i havent a single person interested in it yet. looks like im gonna be leaning toward putting this one down too. if i had more time and money i would fix it myself, but with a baby due any day and my 2 present marks and all the other things i got going on i cant do it. it would be too bad to take it apart but i dont think anyone wants to fix it.

it would i agree, but my plan wasnt to sell it whole thats not what i do, so i know what the car is worth to me in parts, i wanted to see if anyone was interested in this car even remotely, then if offers were made and anywhere close to what i know i can part it for, i would sell it whole. but in the end im sure i'll take it apart . i wish i had the time and money to fix it myself but i dont, so i'll decide soon.

The Mark VIIIs don't have a strong enough following and or collectors car status so selling a "rare" one doesn't mean squat to the average joe, who ends up being the buyer of most. I figured it was going to hit the scrapper. 20 years down the line... maybe then someone will say OMG you have done the unthinkable, but even then a car without original paint isn't worth much especially if the paint is the only thing that makes this Mark VIII special.

the paint is original minus the hood and front bumper cover. i actually have paint for this car to make it look right if i wanted to do it myself, it was obviously not prepped and sprayed right . someone just did it fast thats why it looks goofy, but even still i think im waisting my time trying to sell it whole. i hear what you are saying max, i think the only thing to do to it is put it down.
