2007 Annual MI M8 Meet dates and info

Now all we need is a lift! :D

Besides tools, jack and jackstands. you need gear oil, friction additive and at least one axle nut(I think they come in pairs, it's been a while). I'll assume the center section has new halfshaft bearings and seals. The only other issue I see would be dropping the exhaust for access.

The pumpkin is completely rebuilt and almost ready to be swapped in. The traction control gear is broken so it needs to be changed. When he dropped it off, Joe said to just swap it with the one on the car. we also have a 1 piece '93 drive shaft to change at the same time. I have read all the procedures posted and in the shop manuals. It does not look to hard. Naturally, since it will be my first time it will take 2-3X longer than normal. I am prepared to do it here, but would not be against doing at the MI meet. It would make for a fun activity. My only worry is running into a complication and not having a car to drive home.

YAAA !!!!!!!

Mike, the traction rings stay on the halfshafts, we reuse the halfshafts that are in the car right now. I think I remember that Joe gave you guys chopped off 1/4 (;)) shafts with the pumpkin, but we don't need those at all.

True. Doesn't the half shaft just pop out of the pumpkin?

If we do this, I get to make the first smokin' donut.

Well, it'd be a great test of my car if we get the gears in, but who knows what our day will look like.

BTW, can someone pick a good hotel that's close to everything? It'd be nice to stay where others are staying.

The place Mrs. Driller and I stayed at last year was good and close to Jeremi's place.

That works for me, just let me know name/phone or whatever. And this time I'm requesting a room which is bigger than yours.

Thanks JP.

Oh, remember Ron (RRocket)? He wanted to be kept informed and would like to see us all again. That cool?

Honestly I don't really know ... I am usually very easy going and I can get along with everyone. But I won't have this:

Ron's quote from last year's meet:
"Well yea, that's why us Canadians come to the US!! I emptied my garbage as soon as we crossed into the US!! I pissed on your trees too. Hopefully you haven't stepped in the "suprise" I left on your lawn..... "
