So what is the cost of 1.1 seconds.....
[/div]
Yeah, everyone wants to know.
That's easier to define than what it takes from 'stock'. Rmember, my car was not stock when I started. Basic mods at the time included chip, exhaust, gears(4.10s) and C&L MAF.
The "major changes" and their costs from 2004 through 2006 were...
DenseCharger Intake w/ Pro-M MAF $280
Baumann Shift Kit $125
245/50-16 Nitto 555 Drag Radials $276
Blue Oval Chip $325
3500 stall converter $700 w/o install
Electric Water Pump $350
DynoTune $400
Hoosier Quick Time Pro D.O.T. Tires $350
Kooks Headers $715 w/o install
4.30s w/ Detroit TrueTrac $850
Intake $205 w/o install
Front skinnies $200 w/ wheels
Disclaimer: "Major", as in 'major changes' above, is being defined as a noted significant improvement at the track or a significant dent in the wallet.
It does not include any 'support' mods, maintenance items or countless details. Of course, your mileage may vary and your opinion is welcome.
Now before anyone says "Hey you could've got a (fill in the blank)! for that kind of money...", let me say this. I would've still most likely needed a modified intake setup, shift kit or J-mod, drag radials, chip, converter and a dyno-tune(at a minimum).
