13.433 @ 104.52

RE: 13.433 @ 104.52

That was 69 runs for the Blue Flame in 2006 with 11 visits to 5 different tracks.

12's NA? Hmmm... that would be an enormous accomplishment.

Well, Lonnie tells me his converter will do it. Some suspension tweaks should help the sixty foot times which substantially delivers returns at the top end of the track. I would like to redo the exhaust with performance tunable mufflers and electric cut-outs. Heads and cams would likely do the trick as well, but a major investment would be required.

RE: 13.433 @ 104.52

I think a short runner Cobra intake and the new Lonnie converter might get you there without having to take off the valve covers at all...

I'm not at all convinced the Cobra intake would net me more. With the top end mph, the modded Gen1 intake seems promising.

JP...sorry I missed this thread. I am really happy to see skinnies on the front, for 1

I see the 96 in those photos...glad to see it still in your life...wasnt sure there for a while.

anyway...as for the "Terminator"....no comment.

The Terminator has been DRILLED and set ablaze by The Blue Flame!!!

104 mph in a 4000+ lb car, N/A, with small rear tires....awesome...the bar has been set....make that RE set.

RE: 13.433 @ 104.52

Thanks Craig! Your tips have paid off. ;)

Hopefully we can keep moving the bar. }(

As for the '96, it enjoyed the weekend at the track. Got to stretch her legs and blow the carbon out. I think a 15.16 @ 96 was the best 'drill-bit' could muster out of it in full street trim. :)

RE: 13.433 @ 104.52

JP...I cant remember, but a couple years ago I made a pass in the white 96 at Sacramento raceway...initial hit off the line enduced wheel-spin...I rolled out, and re-stabbed, and if memory serves, it ran a 15.24 @ 94 mph...it is definately no slouch in street trim....

"dill bit".....I love it!

It is a strong running car and handles rock solid. It has always felt much better suspension-wise over my '93. Believe it or not - I have not had the chance to run it myself.

I have dreams of putting hand-me-down mods from the '93 into the '96 - such as cat-back exhaust and 4.10s. Then maybe a J-mod or shift kit with an Xcal2 tuner. :9

Oh, ...

RE: 13.433 @ 104.52

A 150 shot with those slicks and skinnies should put you in the 11.9 @ 115 on a good day. IF that doesn't do it a 175 shot will.

I was knocking off 1.1-2 seconds off with a 125 shot.

With a set of good heads, degreed comp cams, and intake you could run 11.X @ 113 or so n/a. I have the cam tools that you can borrow when you are ready to get after it. Just give me a call.

I gave up running n/a. I should have the turbo's on the red car by late January as long as work doesn't get any busier... When you see what the red whore does with that crappy high mileage replacement engine you will want some FI too.
