Ii am finding out what parts I need then I will figure out how to put it together, which I'm sure I could find out here, right? I mean none of this is rocket science. I've accomplished a lot tougher things in life, I imagine I can do this. A little anger involved, of course
Well, best of luck, it'll sure be a learning experience.
Do you have a press? A bearing puller? A case spreader? A dial indicator? Both Lb-Ft and Lb-In torque wrenches? A micrometer set? A way to check/set the pinion depth?
There's a lot more to it than you probably think.
If you have the tools (and the patience
), then I'm sure that you could learn how to do it. If not, let someone else do the install.
As for the parts, to do it right, you'll need the following:
Ring and pinion set - M-4209-F373N
An IRS Traction-Lok differential - M-4204-F288
A R&P installation kit, which includes new bearings and races - M-4210-B
Side bearings and seals - M-4413-A
Along with a couple of quarts of good 75W90 gear oil and some Ford friction modifier - M-19546-A1
If you want to bring your pumpkin and the parts down here, I'd be happy to show you how it's done, for a small fee.
