Max, look where he lives!!! He's in Flatlands, USA. Missouri isn't exactly the busiest of places in the world and he drives conservatively. Why shouldn't he get 28mpg? Gees, if I get 25 (ave) on the NYS Thruway, it's easy for me to believe!

There's no flat land here. My 25 mile trip to work is the best roller coaster ever!
HAHA...right!! But you sure don't have 1-4,000 foot elevations to worry about!
28mph is indeed impossible on the freeway... is crappy average speed if you ask me
I was getting 23MPH with 4.10's and a 3200 stall. Not too bad IMHO.
so i made it to the track the other night and it turns out i need a set of slicks or something now. with the stock gears i was pulling consistent 2.0 60' times now with the gears it has gone down to a 2.3 60' because of tire shake almost all the way through first gear. that was with me leaving at 2500 rpm on the converter. this is the first time the car has ever shook the tires it useley just spins nice and smooth.
my ets went from 9.4 with a 2.0 60' with the stock gears to a 9.5 with a 2.3 60' with the new 3.73 gears in it. so if i could get back to at least a 2.0 60' that should bring me down to a 9.2 or 9.1. with a sticky set of slicks and the new gears i should be able to come up on the converter more for a even better launch and hopefully pull a 1.9 60'.
