3.73's going in as soon as i have time to do it

the last 2 times i have changed my plugs i have had 2 of the finger tight so that might be it. the threads dont seem striped cuz they go in easy and get tight but they just back out. next time i see him ill have a full bottle lol.

Always the same 2 plugs? If so, gonna be a problem sooner or later.

Might be a good time to check over your fuel system and do a full tune up. Your motor is high miles right? Maybe a compression check might also be in order.

Somethings definitely up - your car should be pretty fast!

its because i was driving like i stole it, you were driving like you needed the car to last lol. me, i was all or nothing. i was just in a mood that night, if i blew it up it would of been a night i just laughed it off, but now that i think back, i shouldnt have even got on it lol!

Loose spark plugs are not going to make you lose a race...keep digging. Weak coils, fuel pump, blah blah blah. And bad bushings are going to make you get a slower time...its all about the driver. You should be able to launch it without wheel hop if you're good. :D

Of course if you're NOT good, like me, the poly bushings make you LOOK like you're good.

how will loose plugs not slow me down?? do they not leak compression if they are loose? yes it is the same 2 plugs its the 2nd one back on both sides that keeps working loose. yes i can launch the car with out tire spin but to get the full benefit of the converter and of the new lower gears one would need a nice set of sticky tires right? heck i can launch the car in rain on bald tires but wont i get a better E.T. if im setting on a prep track with a set of slicks?

i just thought about it i know why jamie beat me like he did!! he has a HID kit in his car well i just put mine in so lets race again and see who is faster now lol. another thing i did not think about is we might have been at the right speed that jamies car downshifted into 2nd gear and mine might have only gone down to 3rd gear and been bogging while he was pulling away. im not trying to make excuses here dont get me wrong im not a ricer im just trying to think of why he beat my semi moded car with his stocker.

i would have had a full bottle ready for him but i got my new bottle filled and with in 4 hours it all leaked out damit so i just wasted $40 in nitrous in my trunk. i know it was not a lekey line or anything like that because the bottle valve was still turned off. looks like im going to have to pull the valve out and reseal it. what a chore it sux.

A spark plug that is "finder tight" is not going to cause any issues. The only point that it would slow you down is if they were completely loose and bouncing around.

Where did you come up with the idea that you lost that race because your plugs were loose?? Random.

You don't need slicks to get a good launch, its all about feathering the throttle. I was getting 1.8 60 foot times on street tires with my 3200 stall and 4.10's. Just go a bit easier on the gas when you launch and don't powerbrake it at all.

Just to throw my occassional two cents in, I never had any wheel hop until I installed my 3.73s and track-lock. I discovered that the rear is more likely to hop if the tires are *underinflated*. If you are wheel hopping, try adding some air to the tires.
