Bad Mojo

Ok so I just tested it when I went on the same drive and it was NOT working at all (the alternator.) Then, started it up, drove about 15 feet had, had tires rotated, then poof its back on when I leave. Still at low output of course. Any more thoughts?

Wow, that is crazy. Sounds like a bad/faulty circuit of sorts, or maybe a bad gauge (if thats what you're reading the volts with).

A HD fused charging cable from the alternator to the battery or power distribution box and/or a new pigtail for the regulator.

You may have corrosion in the battery cables as well.

did you power your amp. off of the stock wiring in your car? if so you may have damged a power relay(factory systems are fairly low draw compared to aftermarket amps.) just my .02 worth
