Blew my engine, (hydrolocked)

You can do the air box mod without any complications. Mike's intake box could have been completely stock and still had problems going through a huge puddle as the intake pick up tube is right below/behind the right headlight.

yea but its smaller and aimed straight down, that wouldn't of helped prevent it?

The stock intake tube is pointed straight forward, not down. If you lift the headlight access flap up on a Gen I or remove the front plastic headlight cover on a Gen 2, you will see it right below the passenger side headlight. It looks like this..........

Remember that the front opening of the tube is encased by the bumper cover. IMO he would have better chances of surviving that puddle with the silencer in place.

I will never feel comfortable putting a filter down in that inner fender well no matter which direction it's pointed.

ahh 10-4 thanks. I thought I might be wrong about that, but I wouldn't admit it

where can I get a wire harness that bypasses the O2 sensors, I had to bore out the "cats" due to blockage and didn't want to pay to replace and now I get crappy gas mileage, Jeremy told me they existed but I can't find them. Anyone have a vendor and part name? Thanks

yea I know the chip, but apparently exhaust shops use this when they do custom exhausts to bypass the O2 sensor in the computer. I don't have $300 for a chip

The O2's are still left in place, these just change the resistance/signal sent to the computer to think your cats are working efficiently.

ok which ones should I get? I have no idea. Pick one for me, I don't care how they go in, just easy and effective

Yes, anything that modifies smog equipment is illegal.....in CALIFORNIA. I'm not a NYHP, lol.

I would do the wired in ones because I have used them on several of my friends Mustangs with excellent results. I'm curious if the others work though.....very easy install and cheap too. Might be good to look into.

Isn't this an illegal device, officer? ;)
yea I'm ok with it :D

I KNOW what it IS, I was saying that I'm not a New York Highway Patrol (get it, instead of California??)
