Boze Forged Alloy Rims going on The Mark

Talked to Ryan yesterday, and he said the rims finally shipped. :)

Since it is so close to SSHS7, I told Aric the Cobra intake, brakes, rims and tires, etc., can be done after the shootout since the Mark is ready to race now.

He just needs to find and fix a oil drip, and listen to a noisy pulley and see if it needs to be changed.

I installed a fire extinguisher in the trunk, and had Interstate Batteries put a new 875 CCA battery in the Mark, since the old one will be 7 years old this January. :)

I stopped by Aric's shop today, to see if there is any progress, or a diagnosis of the DTC's that caused the ABS, traction control, and speedometer to whack out. While I was there, the wheels arrived :)

They look totally awesome. :) If all the planets align, and we have good luck with the DTC's, Aric might be able to pull a rabbit out of his hat and have the hubs, brakes, rims and tires on the Mark in time for SSHS7! :)

Fingers are crossed! I am happy if the Mark is at the track with no issues, so the rims on the car is icing on the cake! :)

lol Here are the pictures of the rims. Aric called me a few minutes ago, and said they fit perfect. The rear rims just touch the sway bar when bolted up - exactly the way he measured them.

Everything is great... except... Boze made them with the Mark VIII bolt pattern, instead of the Mustang bolt pattern :)

lol, Gotta love it... Aric is on the phone with them asking what part of 5 x 4.5 they did not understand on his build sheet :)

2 1/2 months to get these and you get em in the wrong bolt pattern... wow I would be pissed off.

But on a sidenote they are great looking :D

Btw if you're done with dealing with BOZE folks...

You can get a set of 18" ADR (M Sport) rims that look almost identical for around $500

I believe they are relatively light weight as well... mine were about 21lbs each.

I was so close to pulling the plug on the Boze deal altogether today, and go elsewhere, until Ryan called me and said the rims are shipping next week. And they better ship next week too. They already got their mulligan... lol :)

All the brake parts are here. The black Brembo's look awesome, SS braided brake lines, and the Baer EradiSpeed + 2 rotors will match perfect. Ryan ordered new front dust caps, sway bar end links, and whatever they see that looks worn, or could be freshened up. At this point... might as well... :)

This waiting is driving me nuts! :) I have no idea how Aric and Ryan put up with me. No fault of theirs, but they are who I have been venting to for the last couple weeks. Hopefully, I can now rest a couple days before I call Ryan again to see if they are still on schedule. :)

Ryan said today, that Boze burned the weekend oil, and will be shipping the rims tomorrow. Not counting the time wasted on trying to get the Forgeline wheels to fit, it has been 2 months wait time for the first set of rims for Boze to make, and almost 1 month wait time for the second set of Boze rims made with the correct hub pattern.

Maybe within the next week or two, they will be finally on the car, and all of us can move on to something else... WOOT I need a beer... :)

Ryan called me, and said the rims arrived today! :) The hubs, brakes, rims, and tires will be on the car next week! WOOT! :) I will make sure there are plenty of pictures taken too.

I'm excited to hear what you will think of those brakes... they really made a big difference for my Mark VIII. Also I can't wait to see those rims on the Mark. They will make it stand out!!!

Gosh Mike you're doing everything to your Mark VIII that I wanted to do to mine... I got there 1/2 ways... but got stopped when I realized what I'd have to put up with when it came to the smog Nazis.

Thanks Sharon and Max :) There has been a huge amount of planning and effort to pull this off and get the Mark built. I could not have done this without Aric and his team at Injected Engineering, and all my internet friends and web sites I frequent. :) This will bring closure to the first phase of the build...

Dropped the Mark off at Injected Engineering today :) Aric is going to start the transformation after he is done tuning a car. Here are some pictures of one of the rear rims with the correct bolt pattern, and the Classic Tube SS brake lines. Tyler was kind enough to weigh the rear rim for me, and it came in at 24 1/2 pounds. All goes well, it might be done this week :)

The offset looks pretty good. Which one did you end up going with?

I noticed that my wheels/tires were pretty close to that spindle arm as well ;)
