In the finals it was 1st Place vs 2nd Place with Lady Luck smiling upon the Mark 8!!!
Finished the race with a 22 point lead over second place!

That is what I said.. that I "HAD" washed the shirt, but the luck hasn't faded or run.

I dont see Lady Luck handing me 4 races in a row though, I can feel an impending loss approaching.

I've been very lucky this season, and as I've always said.. I'd much rather be "lucky than good"!

Turnout for this Friday's Street Stock was down from the previous week with only 13 cars, trucks, and motorcycles answering the call.

The first round continues to give us some surprises!

Tiffany Spain takes out Glen Snedden in a battle of the Mark VIII's.
Craig Dubiel advances his corvette to the 2nd round as Barnyard lights up the red bulb! How unusual is that???

David Roadarmel had the win in the books after a great reaction time, but held his foot to the floor as Rick Cucina's motorcycle was approaching at 100mph!! Unfortunate for David, he broke out, and Rick Cucina advances.Tommy Douglas takes out Wayne Woods and his Mustang.

Battle of the Newbies!! James Goertz in his turbo Honda S2000 puts newcomer Cruz Valdez in his Eclipse back in the TNT lanes.
Don Brassington puts an .0347 RT on the board, while Scott Koehler goes .3020 and then goes home.
And 2nd time competitor Danny Lange was the lucky dog with the bye run into round 2.

Round 2 was just as strange:
Tiffany Spain lines up against the Corvette of Dubiel and although she runs her number, a red light ends her evening.
Don Brassington continued his hot streak on the tree with a .0292! Rick Cucina fell asleep and woke up with a .3100 RT and Brassington wins.

Another battle of the Mark VIII's sees Points Leader Tommy Douglas putting Rookie Danny Lange out.
James Goertz draws the bye run and puts a blistering pass on the books: 7.84 @ 94.74mph.

The Semi-finals has a pair of rookies and a pair of wiley old veterans.

Craig Dubiel nails Tommy Douglas to the tree with an .0145 to .1195 and the points leader is finished for this weeks fun.
Don Brassington takes the Mercury for a nice cruise for a win as Goertz runs nearly a half a second off his dial.

The finals are set!! But something is wrong. Only Brassington answers the call. Then word comes in, the corvette has had a water pump failure. Brassington takes a nice pass down the track and collects the win. After the finals, Dubiel changes a fuse and is ready to race! D'oh!!!

Glen Snedden moved from 7th to 6th Place! CONGRATULATIONS GLEN!
Glen also made it down to the FINAL 3 cars before taking himself out with a redlight {STILL A GREAT JOB GLENN, CONGRATS!}

Justin and his wife Brigette brought their two Mark 8's out to the track for the Street Stock race, it was great to have them in the pits and seeing their sleek mark 8's tearing up the 1/8th mile.
From what it looked like they thought they were on a ROUNDY ROUND track..they kept running.. and running and running!
Every time I looked up either ONE or the OTHER was making a pass.. sometimes BOTH were side by side!
It was great seeing 5 mark 8's parked in our pits!
