how fast have you driven?

Were going to hell....lol

Were going to hell....lol

The only thing limiting it now is engine rpm and wind drag on the car and with overdrive, these cars can really fly without a speed limiter. That was with 4.10 gears :D[/quote]

Yup did that with the factory gearing with no limiter in the blue one. then i got the gears and all bets were of for anymore top speed runs. The Marks dont stop till they pop the beehive springs failure. Thats how i toasted my first 1995 Mark engine. It didnt die till i was slowly pulling back into the driveway and did the horrible tearing shredding sound as it coasted to a stop.

haha Were all going to jail now. Hope they put us in cells next to each other so we can chat. hahah

I topped the Mark at 172 using dual GPS verification (Droid phone and Pioneer NAV)

Did 187 in a TT Viper and thats the fastest I have ever driven but the Mark is the second fastest I have driven. :)

I would think over inflating would make them expand even more.

I bet Roadboss.....that would be pretty insane. Something I defenitely wanna do one day.

I remember one of the first time I took Cat out in my car. 135 past my buddy who was filming. I started about a mile down the road and Cat started screaming when I shifted into 3rd, at 80 MPH, haha. I got that video somewhere....

187 TT Viper FTW!

Here is my run....before I had a digital camera, lol.

Haha! J, that sounds pretty sweet flying by like that. A big no-no though if you are on the other side of this action in the black and white thing. :D

Lol, totally. You can hear EVERY gear if you listen carefully. At the very end, you can see a street light WAY off in the distance at the end of the road.(camera focus adjusts) There was a Sheriff sitting there with his lights off....guess he didn't hear me!!

Honda

On my last crotch rocket I hit top end regularly at 165 the bike was smooth as silk at that speeds. The mark just over 100. With over 250,000 miles it doesn't seem wise to stress the motor. Which never would stop me in the past maybe this is true love!

that was funny... :D

what is the beehive thing?

I dont remember where the article is and quite a few postings on this site and others about the factory Beehive type valvsprings prone to over heating, cracking and failure at sustained high RPMs. Well she had about 112,000 miles on her when i did that run for about 15 minutes straight and stayed in it till i got in sight of the next town/civilization. (when the wind stops buffetting the car, everything gets quiet and still and youre going that fast, Ears start humming, you get an overwhelming fear of paranoia that something is going to go wrong and back out of it very slowly and smoothly.) Same thing on the crotch rocket, its gets peacefull quiet if that makes any sense with a screaming 4 banger between legs and helmet tucked just under the windscreen so as not to disturb airflow.) (Unnatural quiet....Thats why i sold the bike, i had lost respect for it and did it on daily basis and knew if it kept up, id be history. I was an adrenalline junky, haha).

The springs did not like it and broke in the number 8 piston causing shredding and the piston to come up and smash into the head. I still got that old motor in storage in MS. Had every brand new sensor /accessories and cats on it too. Its sitting in a wooden crate in a barn with the exhaust layed over the top of it in a cross pattern. haha
there was a pretty good write up on Sean Hyland motors about his improved valves and guides as well as a good list of part numbers for the heads to hunt in junkyards too to include the navi cams and also the heads for swaps.
God only knows where the article is now. I got a collection of old hardrives for this system now all on a shelf. Everytime i upgrade the Windows version, i get a newer bigger and faster hardrive and do it fresh.
Some had the cheapies springs, and some motors did not.

BlackIce (Craig) is the guy for that information. He's replaced several (if not in the teens) of those broken springs. Most of them were on the 95's too, if I remember correctly. Mileage didn't matter at all...it was almost like it was a driving style failure or something harmonic about it. He was fixing them on old people's cars and ones that were put through their paces.

It's just one of those things.

Well that makes me fell better, i though for surley I caused the damage beating on her like i was. Got on myself for that. haha Then bought the SVT motor and beat on it even faster. haha When will it end? Dang, i got to get this car converted over. I miss going to the racetrack. Havent been there in ages.
