HOTLNC now has over 275K miles on it. That’s the not the problem. The problem is HOTLNC has a head gasket leak. The running motor will presurize the coolant system to where the coolant is slowly blown out of the over flow tank. The tank has an operating and new cap. There is only a trace of coolant in the oil, which eliminates an oil filter adapter leak. At in town speeds (less than 50 MPH), the car will not blow enough coolant to get hot. I’d love to put in a box motor, but I cannot justify the expense.

The next old timer problem is a leaking main seal on the tranny. This is a resonable guess, as the filter and gasket were replaced about 100 miles ago.

The OEM antenna motor was removed and replaced with crap. It doesn’t work

The state EPA/safety inspection ran out in July.

I will part it out, but I must have buyer’s old part as replacements to plug the hole.
PM me or use jjheep at uwmail dot com.

Installed over OEM is as follows:

Full window tint to handle the Texas sun

Aftermarket Aiwa MP3 CD/AM/FM radio (model number: CDC-X30MP)
Sill have OEM Cassette AM/FM radio.

True dual exhaust system with Lincoln Motor Sport double X pipe and Lincoln Motor Sport stainless steel mufflers (sounds great; no drone.)

Second generation HID headlights. The bulbs in it work fine.

Lincoln Motor Sport MASS Air kit with B&K conical air filter. I still have the old MASS body, you could go back to OEM if you have an air box and duct.

New Overflow tank (replaced 6K miles)
New radator hoses and cap
New belt
Good air shocks, front and rear. Good air compressor
AC/heater works great
No rust. Dented left rear quarter panel. Door dings, but not many.
Good paint as always garaged.
Good tires; two are new

Spare parts and Misc (not installed, but available):
Complete fuel/maintance records since purchased used with less than 60K miles
Lincoln Motor Sport preformance ROM (Chip)
Two new in box HID bulbs.
Spare used Radiator
Spare used Fan motor and fan shroud
Spare Tranny Cover with oil drain kit
Three used spark plug coil packs
New in box Bushing and Washer kit (F3LY-3A187-A)
New In Box cam/crank sensor pig tail
New in box 2-3 tranny piston (F7AZ-7H292-AB)
MOOG EV127 tie rod
MARK VIII 1994 Service Manual
MARK VIII 1994 Electrical and Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual

Do you have the "ice box" or something similar with the mass air kit? I need a heat shield. Otherwise, I have to fab one up.

I'll take a recent picture and post it.

Here are the pictures as promised. I have pictures of the dash and the second gen AC control head and the radio if anybody wants to see.

By the way...that is prime Texas dust on the car.

Yes, will there be a HOTLNC II?

I doubt it. Texas is now using a private company for their personalized plates. It would cost almost 200 bucks PER YEAR to get HOTLNC nowadays. Right now, I'm paying only 40 bucks extra (Grandfathered.)

Does that fee apply if you just transfer the existing plate to a new (2nd gen) mark 8? :D

I'm trying so very hard not to go where I think we all know I want to go with this one... :D

Anyway, I guess TX isn't super into letting people have vanity plates... $200 a year is a little much.

How much is a regular reg?

I think LILLNC has a $35 plate. Of course it doesn't say LILLNC...

Between that and mandatory front plates, I don't care to have cars registered in TX for any reason! That sucks!!

Noted. But it could be worse. I've heard California really puts the screws to you on car registration.
