Understood, sort of. Cheap part (TCC), but where is it located and how difficult to change? Some of us have to rely on others to do the major work on our cars. MAJOR being relative to the persons' own capabilities. I can do some things myself, BUT...ya know. I love to work on cars but my knowledge is limited.

Not sure. I had my tranny guy do it for me. I do most of the work on my car myself, but I don't do trannies. Family tradition - Grandpa owned a shop, never did trannies. My dad helped him from age 6, never did trannies. My dad taught me everything he knows, including his disdain for opening up trannies. And this comes from a guy who could strip down and rebuild complicated carburators...

Is the TCC in the actual body of the tranny or is it connected to the valve body? Is it necessary to drop the tranny?

I'm thinking of getting a used valve body and making all the upgrades to it so I don't have to climb under the car. I will just tell the guy at the tranny shop to swap it out when I have him do the service. That way I don't spend all the money on labor and my car won't be down while I do the work.

From all the info I got here and elsewhere I think I've narrowed my problem down to one of three things, if not all three. Valve body, TCC or the 2-3 accumulator. I guess that can go with the VB, so make that two things.

Where can you find used tranny PARTS, not the whole tranny, and what kind of options do I have as far as year and model doner?

I am going to have a pressure test first to make sure that's what's wrong of course.
