modified gen 1 intake?

RE: modified gen 1 intake?

Updates soon. Track has been rained out, and no more pics as I am not home anymore. Sorry.

RE: modified gen 1 intake?

So I take it this is the start of your project? I haven't had time to work on mine since I cut the plenum and cleaned the imrc's. I think this weekend I will start on it. Looking good!!

Shhhhhhhh... someone else is doing the work. I don't currently have the time it takes to do something of this nature. Nothing special... simply port and polish. I'll be pricing ceramic coating and powder coating as well.

.... All I have on my "need to buy list" is 2 knock sensors.

Thanks David, I'll have to remember to add them to my 'need to buy' list as well.

RE: modified gen 1 intake?

Do the bearing tend to go bad? I wouldn't have thought to replace them considering there is basically zero load and they don't move ver fast. I think knock sensors might be a good idea, do those tend to fail too?

RE: modified gen 1 intake?

I dunno 'bout the bearings, but while you're in there, new sensors only make sense.
