Need help. Lower control arm to-frame bolt.

The passenger side LCA to-frame bolt is not coming out (the one with the cam washers on it). I have removed the nut and cam washer from the side that the nut is on, but both a sledge hammer and air hammer are not pushing the bolt through the mounting holes on the frame I haven't done the driver side yet, but it appears as though there is some special trick or position the bolt needs to be in before it will come out. Thanks.

Ok i eneded up using a sawzall. any directions for the strut rod bushings though?

Plenty more PB Blaster, deep well socket, Breaker bar, floor jack, large adjustable wrench.

I have done my cars by using the adjustable wrench on the flats whilst allowing the wrench to rotate up to catch the frame, and then with the floor jack raise the jack against the breaker bar that is attached to the deep well socket that is on the nut of the strut rod. Once broken free I use my impact gun to further remove the nut (front one to frame). The strut rod to Lower control arm the same way. There is no need to move the inner nuts so leave them be. nce you have all this back together be sure to get a front end alignment.

I've gotten everything apart, I was actually hoping for a diagram or something on how the new strut rod bushings go on. The look a lot different from the originals, but they also look like they will work. I'm really not even sure on how to get the old ones off.

Ask, and ye shall recieve. :D

I hope that you're using OEM bushings, the aftermarket ones are junk.

Well taking another look at those pics, some questions arise. "6" on the top pic would be the end of the actual strut rod right? And the front of the car would be to the left and rear to the right as if you were looking at the driver’s side of the car in both pics.
The bottom pic must be showing the part of the strut rod that attaches to the control arm.

Also, any advice on how to uninstall the bushings on the frame?

Any chance you could list what all those number relate to?

Thanks again.

Agreed, but I seem to only be able to find them in CD format, and I usually dont have a laptop nearby when doing work like this, local stores don't carry one for the marks either. Would a Tbird or Cougar one suffice?

NO ! Too many differences. I do NOT have a laptop for mine either, but I review whatever procedure I want to tackle and if it's too complicated, I print out the pages (s). Then I add them after use to a 3 ring binder......Works for me!

I've had just about every frozen bolt and nut on a Mark VIII, but never the lower control arm bolt.

I'd start spraying the lower airspring to control arm bolts now, if you haven't already.:)
