Well, apparently one has to chisel away the lip holding the inner feurrle (sp?) into the outer feurrlle and then push the inner one through and out the back. All done now though, thanks everyone for youre advice. Now if i could only find a decent alignment shop...

Sure could have. Now a new issue. Got it aligned thiis morning, tonght i backed out of a friends drivewy onto the street and ttthere was a loud pop from the passengers side. Now everytime i takee a cornerr there is a popping/clunking noises from the front (ust like there was before i did the LCAa and strut rod bushings. And the steering wheel is sitting at about eleven o clock off center.

Oh oh....sounds like they forgot to tighten the tie rod end or over adjusted it. Take it back.

The camber bolts you replaced did come from Lincoln? I got ones from Moog and they were not correct (too small diameter), and didn't notice until after the alignment. Lots of noise coming from there. Called Max and got correct ones and problem solved.

Well, that's just great, no I did'nt... The shop just called me and said they fixed it, however I was unable to talk to the tech that actually worked on it to see what was actually wrong on the phone so I will see what he says when I get there. He did say it was a combination of the work I did and the alignment they did yesterday so we shall see.

Well according to them, the camber bolt was not tightened enough, also one of the cam washers was on backwards with the rounded edge against the frame instead of the flat edge, which will not give it enough grip against the frame.
I will be ordering the actual FOMOCO bolts however and switching those out, then tanking it to a different shop to have it aligned. There is still a faint popping noise though, which I still believe is the inner tie rods or the rack itself as it can be heard repeatedly if your standing still and kinda jerk the wheel left and right.

Have you tried backing up and tapping on the brakes to see if the noise is there? There was an issue with the inner sleeves (which was addressed in my threads) that causes play in the front strut rods.

Usually what happens with the LCA bolts is that the up and down movement wear through the bolt and it creates a ridge, therefore rendering it almost impossible to get the bolt out, even with a sledge :D
