Neutral Out Condition

I think the MLP is fine. The next morning i started it in neutral no problem and I have reverse lights. I am guessing it didn't want to start in neutral that one time because I was still rolling?

I have to check the codes once again. I cleaned out the IAC this last weekend and it seemed to make some surging go away that I think was attributed to the valve because the last time I checked I had a code for it which is what prompted my cleaning. Sometimes those darn things have to be replaced though regardless. We'll see.

If the MLPS is loose, it can work rather randomly.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9700/5.0.0.405 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102) You really need to datalog the car to find out what's going on. Something is not right and it may be one of many things.

How so will that work if it is a tranny issue? Doesn't that just log the parameters in the PCM?

True, if it were a mechanical issue with the tranny, data logging will not show except perhaps what the sensors were outputting.

Update guys. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the chip back on Saturday. My tuner totally re-wrote the tune. I told Bill to let the tuner know on the original tune to leave the transmission parameters stock. The tuner saw this as a problem. Ever since Saturday morning when I put the chip in, I have had NO neutralizing condition in the transmission. I still have a weird momentary dip in rpms into overdrive but it is barely noticeable at all and is definitely not a neutralizing condition of any sort like I had before.

Now it's time for some Mickey Thompsons and some 1/4 mile runs as soon as I get the chance. Oh yeah, the new tune has me saying holy sh**!:D

Sounds like Driller was right all along!!!

To be honest, the tune was the last thing that I thought would be the problem and the solution to this issue. I guess you learn something new every day. :) I guess a high stall doesn't like stock transmission parameters too well. Funny thing is, I was the bossy one in this situation because I told Bill to have the tuner leave the parameters stock because I didn't want to put any unnecessary wear on the tranny. Now I think the tranny is better off than before.
