The pistons look great. It is great to see the bar getting raised on a daily basis. When I first found this board there were only a few heavely modifyed Mark's and a lot of talk. Progress is great. There is a Stroker 5.4 being built here in town so the Fastest N/A Mark will have to be fast

A stroker 5.4? Who's building that? That might make a whole bunch of torque, but it'll be interesting to see how much hp it'll be capable of. Not going to be able to rev that high, so the torque numbers will have to be that much higher to get good hp. Better be using DOHC heads. What kind of car is it going to be in? Should be fast, even without real high hp.

well joe i just read over on the other board that some one ran a 12.8 or was it a 12.9 n/a he claim he will runn better after he works things out. i dont know bout the poerfullest, cause like said before their are guys that have mark's and dont even post or visist these site, and if you plan on getting a 800hp n/a mark 8 plan on wait! i think we should have a bet going on on who will have the fastest n/a mark here

Never say never. Toss a bad enough big block up there and run it on something other than gasoline, 800 hp n/a isn't out of the question. Probably ain't gonna happen with a mod motor though. Even bored and stroked, that's still way over 100 hp/liter. Although with the right fuel, a whole bunch of compression, and some crazy intake setup, it's possible. They get 800 hp out of 3 liter formula 1 motors. If reliability and streetability aren't a priority (or even a consideration), an 800 hp mod-motor could happen. Still not probable though.

There will not be a 800hp n/a 4.6. THe most i have seen is 514 to the rear wheels with a 284ci 4valve. IT has 13:1 or so compression and runs on race gas only. a stroked high compression 5.4 could easily make 700rwhp.
MY car will never make 800hp w/o forced induction. Luckily that is what the engine was built for.

there have been a lot of 5.4 making real sick NA numbers it would not supprise me if there was already one or two making close to 700 at the fly NA or even more. 800na power in a mark can be done with a modular but i dont think most of us have the time or money to do it. also was there not a top end race car mark8 that had a bad big block that was making over a 10000 na.
