New Lincoln MKR concept images

RE: New Lincoln MKR concept images

All I have to say is, "Focus groups Lincoln!"

Do they run this crap by anyone who ACTUALLY owns a Lincoln? Or better yet, a new Caddy, BMW, MB, people who would have bought a Lincoln, but didn't want a truck, a TC or the LS, etc....to see if they would like it?

I know GM runs test marketing where they use people who just bought a non-GM car and have them come in to look at GM's new stuff, along with the car that person bought, and 4-5 others in the same category. Lincoln COULD do this!

Things that make you go hmm.....

I like the 415 hp though. ;)

That thing in the middle makes me want to go bowling.

Lincoln logo in the tires. Nice touch.

I agree, only owned it 6 weeks, but my Mark is staying put.

From a technical stand point the engine is too complex and will be prone to failure as well.(Human factor = if it runs it must be okay)
Im not in love with the bodystyle either. If FOMOCO hopes to reissue
this model I hope the body contour is more inline with style before
it was discontinued. The previous bodystyle was designed with
purpose and comfort in mind.Taller(18 inch) and perhaps wider rubber,
moonroof.....As this picture indicates more is often less when
optioned in haste.Plus the third door option?and look at the roof glass concept. This isnt an automobile.Bring back the old Mark
bodystyle that everyone loved with mods.

There is only one thing I can say about GM.
Do their vehicles actually have a manufacturers warranty that can
be used without having to drag an attorney into dealership?
So much for legacy costs.

RE: New Lincoln MKR concept images

I agree with what most of you are saying....still its not a "Mark R"...it's a "MKR" (idiotic acrynom...but it keeps the Mark name from being trampled upon).

As to the style and idea in and of itself, IMHO FoMoCo should build it. Built on a stretched mustang chassis, twin-turbo, RWD, 6-speed automatic with manual shifting, 4,075lbs, 0-60 in 5.3secs, runs on E85 ethanol....in the $50k price bracket...sounds like a good deal!

Course I will buy mine used from some old guy that forgot to drive his! lol

1993 Lincoln Mark VIII
-Only one that I know of that is Bronze Nightmist Clearcoat Metallic!

I would buy it to replace my my Mark VIII, but it is another concept car that Lincoln will never put into production.

I see a crossfire/300.
The front may look like a beast, but at least it's smiling!

I like the Logo in the tire, do you think it helps the traction?

I don't think we'll ever see this on the road!
