it was nice of Lincoln to leave that much room behind the factory din-1/2 opening.
granted, the SYS module is behind it(Gen 2) and it can get a little tight with all the harnesses, but it's do-able.

I didn't go through all that trouble when I installed the Kenwood in our 97 LSC. I shaved the stock plastic trim at the opening to get it in snug, and when I sold the car, the buyer wanted the stock stereo back in so it slid right back in place.

Meh, i'm running into a little problem again. Did you trim the lower "lip" on the dash right above the climate controls (can't see pics at work)? My wood trim bezel seems to be sticking out 1/8" on the top. aka not fully seated to the dash above the h/u. I'm thinking if you did indeed trim it that thats likely my problem as the h/u is sitting a smudge to high.

And am i to assume you don't have the the same fitment problem as me using the same kit?
