Procharger install pics.

I ordered the 10psi kit and drive but with a larger pulley so it would not make as much boost. then i can upgrade it later with a smaller pulley.

Mine came with a 4in pulley that made 6 psi (was suppose to be 8psi), then I upgraded to a 3.8in (suppose to be 10psi), which produced around 7. Made 362hp and 333lb/ft at the wheels (no headers no tranny work stock bottom end and stock heads).

The P-1SC is a great unit but it's been eating my belts. lol

It says 4.0 on the backside of the pulley.

You should have rwhp in the upper 360s with that boost and intake manifold.

When do you plan on doing the tune?

As soon as i can hook up with someone else going to Indiana

Waiting to see if this dude from Indiana is gonna buy my friends Chevelle that owns the exhaust shop here. Then ill bring it up to him and drop my car with Lonnie on same trip. Should help out on gas. Gas was 109.00 to fill up the tank and took 4.8 tanks at 9-10MPG gettin up there with 12,000lbs last time from here. Wasnt checkin milage on way back, put the pedal down and made it in one trip empty trailer back home.

I still have to buy his blowthrough MAF, new style pigtail, and 12" straight tube with crimps to finish the car.

Nope...

Nope...

whats the word on the cobra bumper did you get the pic

Never came through to phone. Send to my email. My phone doesnt work well and i hate texting. lol Somone in FL is probably saying, where the heck did this pic come from? Why did they send me a bumper picture in a junkyard? lol

Cool, thanks Lonnie

finished running wire.

finished running wire.

I had to lengthen the coolant sensor wires and hide them and also ad two more wires for the IAT that the blow through MAF will use now. I snaked them into the stock location under the cover so you wont see them either.

Now all i have left to do is wire up the external brake booster vacuum pump and load it onto the trailer for Lonnies shop.

Just thought I'd get you excited... If you have a 3.08 rear you should be over 170mph if your valve float is around 8k.

Sweet...

But i doubt it will ever see over 130 now, (not enough length of track). I'm running the 4:10's since before i blew the original Lincoln 32 valve on a highspeed run. Ran great all way till i was pulling into parking lot at friends house and let loose into a terrible cruching aluminum noise, and exhale of air. Those were definatley not the beehives.

Plus im pretty sure there just factory springs and valves in there. What ever came stock on the 2001 SVT's for springs. i havent upgraded the heads yet or had the valve covers off at all. Just the upper and lower intake for cleaning and putting in new wire for knocksensors and coolant hose down there.

whats that car running now? have you ran it yet ??

as for the gears, i agree. I am keeping my 3.27 's - as i still can whoops some ass on the highway with NOS. I can jump from 70 mph to 120 in a very short time. VERY short. lol . That pro charger looks seriously big. I didnt have time to read the WHOLE thread, is that a mark 8 engine or a cobra engine? The cobra wont hold up to the orginal mark 8 32v engines :) - The block is a "C" block i believe not the original 2 that originated in the mark 8's.

I run a 13.8 with only nitrous. No tune, no gears, cut mufflers only. 152k miles on her and she is running happy.

And im also curious about the interior and original mark 8 features, do they work? like your computer on the dash, and gauges and all that work after the engine swap?

Either way i love the car. I want mine to be like burbanks one day and run 11.3 's :)
But i wont sacrafice my highway speed and MPG. So ill most likely top out around the low 12's maybe high 11's and it will still be considered a "Mark 8" not a drag racing car. (but can do a little of both ) I think im just going to beef it up to run a 200 shot and see how low it goes .

LOL a 14.7 car on motor and low 12's - high 11's on spray. hahahah

Good job and good luck. Keep up the good work.

Woah. What rpm were you pushing? I've gone over 7k in first with the stock motor and supercharger... The motor still runs great and has over 100,000 miles.

Not yet, but looking forward to getting it up there.

Have not had it tuned yet from Lonnie. So no track times. (busy job hunting now) My listed NA times here on this board was the last time she saw pavement and got put up in the garage for the install.
Were going to keep the boost very low as it has a 4" pulley on it now till the bottom end gets beefed up later on down the road.

Thanks, it's been going alot slower than i would of liked to have it done, but i was really busy last year and had no time for her cept weekends when i was home.

yep, everything that came factory from the mark viii is running on the OBD1 with the exception of hard wired updated Coil On Plug setup for the 2001 SVT Cobra motor. All accessories and full power interior work and use the message center like factory. (I still have to cut a wire to disable the air ride warning cause im running springs now with the compressor delete.)

A move i shouldnt have done more than once in my younger non caring days. Running a SCT chip and mods with no tranny governors at all, wide open for 15 minutes with factory gearing to see how far i could push it. It just kept climing with the speedometer burried. Stupid move for sure, if a deer jumped out, id be a ghost right now.
So for now ill leave the 4:10's alone till i get wider rims for the rear.

Yes the tranny pooped not long after

Im running one of the stage 4's rebuilds now and so far its all holding up to the cobwebs and the year before last SSHS bashing and highway miles.

Heres pics of the finished COP covers i got from J. I should of taken before and after pics, but it wasn't that big a deal i suppose. They cleaned up nice after sanding and painting, and will seal out the COPs for moisture for good now.
