Well, if you want to compare to what i was running consistently on the Tazzo before, i picked up 4 tenths. Spinning through first gear, and hitting 4th WAY before the end of the 1/4. But i'm not going to make it to the strip to evaluate JUST the gears, because i'm going to have the headers and torque converter in by spring, and i'll probably have it tuned by then.

It is a chip problem. I do have stock size tires, but my car shifts into 4th at 5000 rpms in 3rd, and that's about 90 mph.

Its supposed to shift at 5K in 3rd, all Marks do that. Need to take off the O/D lockout. I have the same Issue at around 125Mph+

I have taken plenty of cars to the track.And I know for certain what gears will and will not do for a car.

Maybe you should go to the track instead of reading books or crap on the internet.

I raced Phil at the track in his Mark, he's got 4:56's and he handed me my rear on a platter...not even close.

I am also having a 1-2 shift problem. with 410 white speedo gear no lower 1-2 spring and jerry tune I told him that I want a moderate 1-2 shift. hits second gear then goes dead then back to power sometime so this is wheelspin?. so maybe the computer says at this speed and rpm at oss lets go into third as was mentioned above then realizes no we should be in second gear. dead spot while making the decision ? I may try installing the lower spring. and then doing the j mod for the 2-3 shift to see what happens. getting rid of that b.s. shift into o/d @ 5k is so sweet actually super sweet. sticky tires might take care of the above 1-2 shift situation.
