she's home, 97 blk on blk LSC

could be worse...my boss has a 2003 Porsche Turbo Carrera...his CE light came on and the (twin turbo) was down on power. The code was for a knock-sensor...I explained to him that the car is in "limp mode"...out of warranty, and the motor has to come out to swap the knock sensors(s).

he wasn't happy. $3500 not happy.

when the motor came down, there was a rat's nest on the side of the trans-axle and a dead rat. The rat(s) had chewed through the harness and damaged the knock sensor pig tail.

he wrote to Porsche and blamed them for building a car that would allow a rodent to get access to, and set up residence in the engine bay. as if.....they told him "maybe you should drive the car more often and store it in a place that is sealed off to rodents."

Tommy...bought the 94 in 2003 w/ 51k on it. sold it in 2009 w/ 175k on it.
I think I drove it enough!

I don't recognize the car Max said he saw at a gathering...perhaps it was the Knotts Berry Farm gig he attended with Stephen and Scott. I wasn't around. But that car never made it to any of our GGM8 gatherings.

regardless...awesome ride Jamie.

If you need hub rings, the hub ring ID needs to be 63.36mm.

thank you

craig the previous owner lived in cali, and moved to ct where the car sat, its still legally registered, he let me drive home on the tag and insurance, his name was tom, he is in the navy, and max said he remembered that car coming to a cali meeting once. he owned the car for 7 years before i bought it. tonight on my way home i dicovered something is dead in the duct work and smells disgusting, now i have to rip the car apart, unreal.

Good luck with that mystery, but at least you can drive with the windows down in Florida.

i found the little prick!! i couldnt take it i had to find it and remove it, he was mashed in the wiper arm , the actual mechanism, i used them alot on the ride back because of the snow and salt blah blah blah, well at some point he must have moved and got snagged by the arm, because he was still soft, so its fresh, but he was partially severed in 2 spots, the nest was all wadded up in the mechanism, i got all of it out of there and soaked under the cowl with fabreeze. all better now!!

If you wait long enough, they always dry up and stop smelling bad... :D

Procrastination makes almost every bad thing moot given enough time... :D

i just didnt want it there i knew the smell would go away eventually but i dont like ignoring the simple things. it took me an hour to track it down and remove it so no biggy!

few updated pics, replaced the headlight access panel with a better one, and painted the lincoln and markVIII, detailed the car quickly, i have an appointment with a professional detailer, i mean big bucks, i am having it done, i cannot do what this guy can do myself, so i'm gonna drop some bread on it and have it done sick. getting new tires and having the tint redone 5% and 35% on the whole windshield. just a few recent pics.

Prof detail?

It looks pretty darn shiny to me. What is he going to do to it above claybarring it? Glaze or just a super steam cleaning and such under the hood?

Love those rims on it (my favorites).
Hey.... whos sliver first gen LSC is out there in the road in the background.....hahah I see all.....

its not an lsc jeff, its a 93, thats mine too, and its opal grey pearlescent it actually changes blue in the sunlight its awesome looking. driller gave me the chrome 10 spokes for it, which i am trading him some parts for. i am having the car cut and buffed by a pro, he might have to wet sand some spots too, the car was repainted and its a decent job but has a lot of orange peel. it will show when it is done i will post pics you will be blown away bu this guys work, my wallet will too!!!

having the tint redone 5% and 35% on the whole windshield.

Is that legal in FL?

I bought a car for an for an ex that had 35% on the windshield and 5% on the rest. It was a white car, it looked awesome, and it was so nice to drive during the day but it was damn near impossible to drive at night...

The Mass State Police were not big fans either, she was pulled over 3 times in the first 2 days... one officer even put his hand in the drivers window to try and see it through the windshield... :D
