Still can't figure out how to use search.......

Does anyone know if there is a way to reprogram the keypad on the door to a # that is of your choosing. I know the factory #, but I can never remember it. I would use the search option on the top of the page, but I can't operate that either.

LOL, he totally is. And you're scaring me -- I'm hoping you don't work on your own car. ;)

I'm not scary...

I'm not scary...

I don't know why I scare you Trixie. I have been building and racing mustangs for over 10 years now. My other car is a 10 second 5.0 notchback that I basically built myself on jackstands and with handtools. Unfortunately, my automotive knowledge is very specific to making pushrod mustangs faster and fixing them when they break. That knowhow doesn't translate well into computer controlled luxury cars, even if the newest ones are 10 years old.

Also, I barely know how to use this computer and I don't have the owners manual for my car. I know that some of the questions I ask may seem inane and uninformed, but I assure you that I am never embarrased to admit I don't know the answer to something and ask for help or advice. Thats how I got to know so much about the few things I do know about.

Please don't take that personally, I was just joking around. I didn't mean to offend you.

JP is actually a woMAN. ;)

Pictures! :D I never got my Notch down to the 10's, only 13.5's without any major weight reduction or "cheating" by taking all the stereo/spare/seats out. :)

Stereo? You mean that AM deck and the 1 speaker? lol

Oh and welcome to the forum to the OP(original poster).

Pics forthcoming.....

I had to snailmail in my membership dues because my CC's are maxed:frown: cuz of the holidays. As soon as I get full member status and I can actually figure out how to do it, I will post pics of Antoinette (The 5.0; 17lb. Procharged 331, low et 10.55@134) and Maria (98' LSC; gets beaten by Acura RSX's with 7" exhaust tips, but not for long). That is one of the main reasons I ask all of the questions I do. I went from a mid 10 sec. daily driver to a mid 15 sec. daily driver and even though I LOVE the Mark, it is SSSLLLOOOWWW by my standards. I need at least mid 13's to be happy.
I'm still looking for a good preprogrammed chip / tuner by the way to help me toward that goal. The x - cal is great I'm sure, but it's $1000 with software(too expensive) and you've got to program it yourself (too complicated), so I've been looking at the Superchips "Micro Max" tuner. It's only $349, comes preloaded with performance tunes, and is a code reader. Anyone have any experience with that?
By the way, the reason I even started this thread was to reprogram my keypad. Well, thats done. I found a great cite, genuineservice.com which is a FOMoCo cite that offers free online owners manuals, maintenance schedules etc. So, I finally got to read the Mark's owners manual and my keypad is now reprogrammed along with many other issues being clarified.:big-grin:

The very first thing I did when I decided I wanted a chip was to P.M. Lonnie and ask him to sell me something that would fit my needs. He still has yet to get back to me and it's been over a week. I'm not saying that the man might not be super busy with his business / the holiday season, but I tried to give him the first shot since he's a sponsor and so that I could deal with someone person to person, but it just hasn't happened and I'm getting antsy.
