I jacked up the rear end to make sure my posi was working correctly (it was) when I noticed something else. With the rear tires off the ground, engine running, and tranny in "drive", both rear wheels accelerated as expected. However, when they hit a certain speed, the brakes applied themselves until the wheels slowed down somewhat - and the cycle repeated.
I was wondering what was going on when my dad said "traction control". Of course...how could I be so dumb?
So I go in and turn off the traction control only to find that the brakes are still applying themselves like before. So my dad says, "ABS?..."
Anyone know why this is happening?
I am thinking that I might have a bad sensor, but I don't have any warning lights going on. Does this mean nothing is wrong or that my Superchip is negating all the warning lights?
I remember on my Superchipped 93 Mark when I had an ABS sensor go bad, the warning light came on; but my 96 is OBD2, so I just don't know.
Does anyone have any insight or feedback? Thanks.
